My client specialises in the Design, Construction, Refurbishment & Maintenance of a variety of Wastewater Treatment Systems and is also expanding into the Renewable Energy and Heat Recovery sector. The business operates throughout the UK, therefore working away from home will be required on a contract specific basis as and when necessary.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance and upgrade of electrical systems to wastewater and effluent treatment plants.  Your duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
  • Design of Electrical installation following receipt of drawings, equipment schedules and client brief
  • Carry out site surveys to ascertain extent of works and required materials, plant and equipment
  • Estimating for works
  • Procurement of materials and equipment
  • On -site installation of electrical systems and supervision of sub-contractors
  • Installation of control panels and associated control wiring, sensors, and control equipment
  • Completion of the required electrical certification for the installation
  • Adopt the role of Qualified Supervisor for the business
  • Assisting Mechanical fitters and other trades where required to meet the needs of the business
  • Completion of tender enquires from current and new clients
  • ECS graded as an Approved Electrician
  • 17th Edition
  • City and Guilds 2360 or equivalent electrical qualification
  • NVQ level 3
  • City and Guilds 2391 or 2391-52 Inspection and Testing
  • SSSTS/SMSTS preferable
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working on commercial / industrial electrical installations
  • Proven experience in supervision of on-site installations and sub-contractors
  • Previous experience in Qualified Supervisor role desirable, but not a necessity
  • Ability to read and decipherer schematic drawings
  • Previous experience of electrical control panels, and associated equipment
  • 40 hours a week (increasing when away from home or during site working periods)
  • Full UK driving licence essential
