My client is looking to recruit an experienced and highly capable Operations Manager, to assist the company in delivering exceptional results for their clients and the business alike. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects and the whole delivery team including Project Managers, Site Engineers, Site Supervisors, Working Forman and Operatives. You will play a key role in meeting clients, with a view to increasing the profile of the company and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
·       Ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project cycle and at handover
·       Investigating and monitoring customer satisfaction and always identifying ways to improve
·       Liaising with third party stakeholders
·       Recruitment of team; including managers, skilled operatives and subcontractors
·       Formalising and managing contracts and contractual matters
·       Ensuring compliance with the contract drawings and specifications
·       Manage and motivate Project Managers, Site Supervisors, Working Forman and Site Engineers; including reviewing performance and staff appraisals
·       Undertaking regular inspections of sites and work being carried out, in accordance with company policy
·       Support the preparation of tenders including the preparation of Outline Methodologies, Quality Plans and Construction Phase plans
·       Promoting the company at exhibitions and events with the intention of identifying new clients
·       HSEQ responsibility for the company, ensuring compliance and managing the HSEQ Coordinator
·       Monitoring cost/value of projects with the Quantity Surveyor
·       Preparation of progress reports and technical reports for clients and internal business use
Skills and Experience
·       Experience in delivering projects valued up to £3,000,000
·       Ideally a Chartered Member of an Institute with a recognised University and/or professional qualification in Construction or Civil Engineering
·       CSCS Card
·       IOSH/NEBOSH certified
·       SMSTS
·       Strong IT skills and proficient is all Microsoft packages, including Microsoft Project
·       Strong organizational skills and able to delegate effectively
·       Proactive in your approach and highly motivated
·       A dynamic problem solver with the ability to challenge positively
·       Customer focused with excellent communication skills
·       Willing to travel throughout the North of the UK and further when necessary
